The Big Joy of Little Things - Day 8

The Big Joy of Little Things - Day 8

This morning I woke and things were different. Typically I get right up and get busy, wanting to be productive and maximize time. I usually grab my phone off the night stand and check email and texts and think about my to-do list as I walk out of the room.

But this morning I paused and sat at the edge of the bed, looked out at the rising sun, drew in a deep breath and before doing anything else, I felt thankful for a new day and another chance at life. I did it yesterday, too.

A week into this daily gratitude practice, I didn’t anticipate this little shift; it just happened on its own. It’s not monumental, but it is meaningful. Pausing before running feels better. It fine tunes my mind and feeds my Spirit in a way that grounds me and gives me a different kind of awareness. It makes me want to continue this gratitude practice and see what else it will do for me.

I wonder if you’re seeing changes, too?

The Big Joy of Little Things - Day 8 and I am grateful…..

31. That you’re in this, too, and are trying it out with me. . I like  And it’s better helping each other and doing this together.

32. Making dinner plans with good friends Hubs and I haven’t seen in a while.

33.  A toilet. 'Cause imagine life without one.

34. AAA bringing a new battery to my Hubs’ car and saving the day.

Thanks for being here! I am grateful!
