My Hubby rolls his eyes at all this gratitude stuff. It’s just building things up in your mind to make yourself feel better, he says. I'm tempted to argue the point, to defend my position on this thing that I'm passionate about so he'll get in on it, too, and we'll be this incredible, grateful, peace, loving, no fighting family. (Delusional thinking 101) But then I catch myself because he’s right. It is, in large part, about filling our heads and hearts with the positive things in our lives. And it works. I do feel better. And you will, too.
This is your daily reminder to pause and think about the biggest and the smallest blessings you have encountered in the last twenty-four hours. Don’t stop until you can’t think of another thing. If it’s hard to build a list now, it will get easier with time and practice. Before you know it, you’ll notice more good things with less effort.
New habits are easy to forget, but send me your email address below, and I'll send you a daily reminder to help you remember. And thank you to the many of you who have already done so. I am grateful to do this with you. Maybe together we'll convince my Hubby to join us, too.
So, what’s on your gratitude list today? Add it in the comments section below so we'll look for it in our lives, too. And pass this on to others who just might be grateful you did. (There's an easy share button below). Let’s fill this hurting world with gratitude and joy.
The Big Joy of Little Things - Day 6 and I give thanks for:
21. Feeling God’s undeniable and incredible presence in my life.
22. My children’s safety and health.
23. My Hubs who is out slaying dragons, giving me the opportunity to write an Underdog story I believe so fiercely in and supporting my dream.
24. The dear friends who brought me the flowers in the photo above that brighten my day every time I look at them.
Peace, love and gratitude,
Tracy
